On the 5th day of Christmas
My fashion-Santa brought to me a Blender…. not the electric blender you are thinking of, this is the beautyblender.
You will never apply foundation the same again once you use one of these babies. It feels a like happy cloud on your face and saves on the amount of makeup you will use. It very important to follow the directions when applying with a blender to get the best application. It’s recommended to apply with a damp sponge, this is so the sponge won’t soak up all the makeup. The blender is also good for blush, concealer along with highlighting and contouring and works with both creams and powders. The shape of the blender is perfected to fit in all the nooks and crannies of your face giving you perfect results without lines and spots. The beautyblender comes in different sizes and colors for different applications.
The beauty blender can Give Airbrush Results
The Pink (original) is good for foundations of any type, BB creams, CC creams and blushes.
The White (pure) is good for silky type applications, serums, primers and eye creams. This one is also good for applying moisturizers to people with sensitive skin.
The Black (Pro) is used for applying dark tones such as long wearing cosmetic products, self tanners and bronzes.
Then the Mini or Micro is great to highlight, contour and conceal since this little guy can get in smaller areas and have more of a precise application to one area.
The beautyblender also sells a specific cleanser in both a liquid and solid to clean and keep your blender sanitary. With proper care, your blender will last up to 3 months.
This is a blender you can’t live without!
beautyblender web site has some Holiday specials and Free Shipping on $35 purchase, Click Here to buy!

Ho Ho Ho– Blend Away Babe
On the 4th day of Christmas
My fashion-Santa gave up on No Shave November…. Ladies it’s just not cool for us. Venus Oil of Olay razors are awesome, I don’t even use shave cream with these. For those like me that have sensitive skin, these do not tear up my legs or leave me with in-grown hairs. Another perk to the Oil of Olay razors are they are moisturizing for the cold winters that tend to dry out the skin. I personally either forgot or don’t take the time to apply cream to my legs.
Keep in mind these razors can be expensive but they are worth it. It is recommended that you change out your razor frequently and not to leave them in the shower. Dry it off and keep it clean so that bacteria will not grow in the blades. This is crucial as you are working with a tool that could nick or cut you and you wouldn’t want any bacteria to get into your cut.
A Magic Razor Wand!
These razors can be purchased at most drug or retail stores like Wal-Mart, Target and even on Amazon. The starter kit is around $10 and most refills are under $20. This specific type of Venus is not offered in a one time disposable razor, only the replacement blades. Venus also makes this razor in a fun scent, Sugarberry! Other perks to this razor would be the 5 blades for ultimate closeness and smoothness. Check out Gillettes web site for other razors and accessories.
Ho Ho Ho, and keep landscaping ladies!
On the 3rd Day of Christmas
My fashion-Santa lashed out at me. “What’s Better than Sex?” No really, that’s the name of it, Better than Sex mascara by Too Faced Cosmetics. This mascara is amazing! It makes your lashes look like you’re wearing fake ones or have extensions but the fibers are not cakey or heavy. This is a build-able mascara, that means you would want to applying 3 coats to get the best results. The hour glass figure on this specific wand along with the formula of the mascara will achieve curl, length and also help to thicken them. It’s the perfect size for your stocking too.
Must Have Mascara
A good application of mascara is not only in the formula of the mascara but within the shape of the brush/wand. Check out the wand that comes with Better than Sex, no wonder your lashes look amazing.
Free shipping on $50 purchase too (as of 11/18/15)
Ho Ho Ho, and make those lashes irresistible

With the recent move of my studio I now have a large enough space that I can work with other professionals such as photographers, hair stylists, designers and models.
I love doing makeup for photo shoots, maybe it’s because I get to see my work behind the lens too, the transformation of makeup, hair and a fun wardrobe can bring out the beauty in anyone. Maybe you want to feel sexy, scary, glamorous, like a bad girl or even go back in time to a different decade. Whatever your imagination can come up with we can achieve.
Up and coming photo shoots are the Pin Up style, which is very exciting to me as it’s one of my favorites. The look, the props, the hair, the clothing it’s all so much fun! It’s always a bunch of laughs and a very relaxed atmosphere. As a client you will feel like a model with all the pampering and attention that is on you. Just like a super model with her personal assistants 🙂 With the team of professionals I have, we know how to pose you, relax you, prep you, and overall make the experience memorable!
It’s not too late to get in on all the fun
there are still a couple openings this Friday, July 11th.
The photographer will be Tracy Harvey-https://www.facebook.com/TracyHarveyPhotography
Hair stylist will be Jacqeline Clark
If you are not big on Makeup (maybe you are but you don’t know how to wear it or what colors to choose) well at the very least take care of your eyebrows! Your brows are the frame of your face, simply grooming, filling in or taming makes a huge difference in your look. By doing this little task you can change your entire look for the better. Brows can often be very overwhelming to people. Things such as filling them in, what products to use to fill them in, how to groom, what shape works best for you and then taking too much off or not enough……….. There are numerous ways to fill in the brows. Pencils and shadows are the two most popular ways. Grooming can be waxing, tweezing, threading or trimming. Shaping is a little harder to overcome. Some of the things you will want to take into consideration is the eye shape, face shape, personal preference on the thickness of the brow, color of brows and last but not least how much time you want to put into them a week. If you want thin brows this might call for more maintenance to keep them looking nice and thin, more trips to the salon for waxing or breaking out the tweezers at home at least once a week if not more. Make sure the shape of your brow is natural and shapes your face nicely. You wouldn’t want to do too much of an arch and have a “surprises” look all the time. On the other hand do you like more of the natural arch or a more angular peek with your arch? What’s the shape of your eyes, are they close together or far apart? Do your brows connect Once you can conquer all these questions you can then move on to the actual action of fixing those pesky brows. Here are some basic guidelines for shaping your brows see Eyebrow Shaping picture:
Line 1 shows where the brow should start. From the inside of your eye and the side of your nose makes a line straight up. Having this line to far to either side will make your eyes look too close or too far apart. Line 2 shows where your arch should be. This will be a line right to the outside of your iris. This is the tallest part of the brow, having this anywhere else shortens your eye or makes it too long. Line 3 shows how long the brow should be. The line runs along the nose through the edge of the eye. Most peoples actual brows doesn’t grow this far out for one reason or another. It is important to fill this in and have it end where it should to complete the look. The first time I did my own eyebrows I felt like a drag queen with way too much brow make up on, it was because it was something I wasn’t used to seeing on myself. Don’t be afraid to play with the look!. One more little hint when choosing a color for your brows (whether it is a pencil or powder) choose a color 1 shade darker then your natural hair color.
Don’t forget I also offer lessons and education parties. If you haven’t heard about them yet check it out here. Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter, Facebook and subscribe to my blog (in the upper right hand corner)!
Sorry I have fallen off the edge of the earth, or so it appears! So what exactly have I been up to? Well, I did some amazing photo shoots at the beginning of the year and also have been generally busy with life. I have been working with some very talented models and photographers lately too. Here are some fun shots of the makeup I did in Rhode Island with Twisted Image Studios. The model is the gorgeous Christine Jenna.
While I don’t have any photos yet, I also did makeup and hair for my first magazine cover. Photos to come soon!
It was a fun photo shoot for a martial arts magazine and training video to boot. The model (Danielle Halley) and photographer (Brian Hall of Brian Hall Pictures) were amazing to work with.
I also had a chance to work a couple of bridal shows which led to a lot
s of networking opportunities, of course I also booked some weddings from the show.
Inspired by the Hunger Games I organized a successful photo-shoot in which I had the opportunity to meet and work with models, Sarah Skittles and Maddy Wooding. The photographer Leanne Gelish did an amazing job with the photos and capturing the vision. Here is some of the great work that was done that day!
Along with all those exciting events I have continued offering the Makeup education parties along with my spa treatments and waxing’s.
In other news we found out that we are expecting baby number three!!! Not sure what sex this little person is yet but we can’t wait to welcome another child into our family. That being said I have also been very sick for the first three months of this pregnancy 🙁 so haven’t been myself lately. For those that are curious my due date is September 26th so I will not be taking any appointment or bookings for the month of September for sure and I will play it by ear for October (hard to let my favorite month go by without any fun makeup applications).
So all in closing, I am back on track and ready to take on the world for the next five months or until my belly is in the way of beautifying your faces! I appreciate all the love and support that I have been getting and as always I cherish referrals and feedback. Like me on Facebook, follow me on Twitter and subscribe to my blog (in the upper right hand corner).
I’m looking ahead at what I am going to offer for January and February. I always feel like those months are the “doom and gloom” of New England, the calming down of the Holidays and in the midst of the winter. Often overlooked during the deep freeze, your skin will probably be the driest in these months. You might even find yourself being overly itchy and flaky, so I am going to be offering Body Treatments!!!!!!
January is the time to indulge in a full body exfoliation complete with hot towels and loads of moisture! These can also be very helpful with detoxing, something we could all do after all the fruit cake we eat during the holidays!
Then in February the month of love and chocolate, my pedicure/ facials will be back to feed your exterior cravings of Chocolate. February may be a little far fetched for sandals but it’s never too early to start prepping those little piggies.
So while you are probably focusing on Christmas and New Years right now, keep my specials in the back of your mind and don’t forget that my Gift Certificates in December are buy one get one half off. This is a perfect excuse to give one and keep one, then take care of yourself when all the hustle and bustle is done! I will post more details closer to the month(s) but booking early is always a safe idea!
